Collecting used eyeglasses:

The Cheyenne Lions Club collects used eyeglasses to send to 3rd world countries through Lions in Sight.
We collected and recycled over (Thank you Cheyenne!):

11,000 eyeglasses in 2007
7,000 in 2008
2,400 in 2009

Eyeglasses can be dropped in our recycling bins in Cheyenne at the following locations:

Cheyenne Eye Clinic
F.E. Warren Optometry Office
Laramie County Library, 1st floor near the restrooms
State of Wyoming Herschler Building, near the northwest door
Veterans' Administration
YMCA (coming soon!)

We are always looking for other locations for drop boxes. If you would like to volunteer your location in Cheyenne, please drop us a note.

Providing eye examinations and glasses:

We also purchase eye exams and eyeglasses for Cheyenne residents in need.
Cheyenne individuals in need should contact City/County Health to start the application process.
